WANANGA 2: June 5-7 2026
This is the second in a series of wananga answering, ko wai matou? Knowing who we are and where we come from helps us move stronger into the future.
Join us for the weekend of June 5-7 at the Kokiri Center (86 Riria Kereopa Memorial Drive) to discuss the whenua of our people, mai i Te Akau ki Te Whanga. We will discuss various blocks held in trust by our hapu and our relationships with the whenua.
There is room for 50 people to stay overnight at the kokiri center and you are welcome to stay. Please indicate below if you are planning to stay with us and be sure to bring your own blankets and pillows.
We welcome all whanau to this event. While in progress, we kindly ask parents and caregivers to supervise their tamariki to ensure everyone can hear the korero.
While not yet confirmed, wananga #3 will be held either the first or second week of December and will be focused on Whaingaroa Moana.
